S3 - Surgical Support Solutions

The IMS S3 Division offers career opportunities at healthcare facilities throughout the country in Central Sterile Process Management and Surgical Endoscopy Solutions. S3 employees are trained in a growing healthcare field that is critical to safe patient outcomes. These positions offer ongoing education and the opportunity for promotion and professional growth. IMS is looking for employees at all levels in this field. This includes leaders with proven abilities to successfully manage teams through change, strong interpersonal communication skills, creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills, high-drive and energy, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with our customers.

Central Sterile Process Management

Members of IMS’ S3 division can be found throughout the country working in every aspect of sterile processing: decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, storage. The team also includes SPD managers, supervisors, and educators. SPD specialists ensure that surgical trays are error-free, and that trays are ready for use when the surgical team is ready – a function that directly affects patient outcomes.

IMS technicians and managers organize the SPD to ensure it runs efficiently and effectively. Sterile processing is a growing industry with career opportunities in virtually every hospital and surgery center across the country.

SES - Surgical Endoscopy Solutions

Operating Room Liaisons work in the operating room, before, during and after minimally invasive procedures, to ensure the instruments are ready. Operating Room Liaisons manage instrumentation, repairs, integrity testing, and they specialize in performance improvement.

Wedge Manufacturing, Inc.

Wedge Manufacturing, Inc., a subsidiary of IMS, is where customers turn for well-engineered machined products when tight tolerances are required. Wedge is an ISO-compliant facility that employs Computer Numerical Control machinists to produce quality parts for customers in the medical and aerospace industries. In addition to productions services, Wedge offers inspections, reverse engineering, and prototype development.


IMS’ corporate administration team includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, and other support functions. Corporate team members support the day-to-day operations of IMS, providing skills and expertise that keep the rest of the company moving forward smoothly, and ensures that each team member in every department has the resources available to deliver the best possible service to all of our customers. IMS is dedicated to providing the training and leadership development necessary to ensure the success of all employees.


The Operations Division includes all departments that contribute to repair and refurbishment of surgical and endoscopic devices and instruments. From engineering to repair, operations team members are dedicated to returning equipment to the manufacturers’ original performance specifications. IMS has opportunities for repair technicians at our Birmingham and Fort Lauderdale labs and for our On-Location repair vans, which serve hospitals in major cities throughout the country. With extensive on-the-job training, IMS technicians are prepared to help healthcare facilities ensure that when the patient is on the table, the instrument will be ready.
