IMS Clinical Management Seminars

The day-long IMS Clinical Management Seminar™ (CMS) is designed to address clinical and administrative needs in both the operating room and flexible endoscope settings. The course objectives are to:

  • increase understanding of equipment design and usage in order to reduce facility repair expenditures.

  • present solutions to overcome basic business challenges faced by healthcare managers.

Curriculum Includes:

  • Site Visit to IMS Ft. Lauderdale, FL facility
    Staff is able to discuss repair issues, and the proper care and handling of rigid endoscopes, flexible endoscopes, power equipment and Phaco handpieces.

  • Observe repairs in a state-of-the-art facility.

  • Business Seminar
    Topics of discussion include capital equipment acquisition, financing options and IMS programs available to enhance management and administrative effectiveness.

This education activity is co-provided by Educational Dimensions and IMS International, Inc. Fees are underwritten by an education grant provided by IMS, and faculty, as employees, hereby declare a vested interest. Educational Dimensions is dedicated to the provision of quality continuing education and does not endorse products or services provided by the speakers' company.

This program has been pre-approved by CBSPD for 5.5 contact hours of Supervisor / Manager credit.

Participants will be granted 5.5 contact hours upon successful program completion (attendance at the entire activity, including any Q&A session). No partial credit will be granted.



An optional course is also available Tuesday night.

Objectives: Maximizing Instrument Performance

  • 1 contact hour.


  • Discuss signs of instrument compromise in the clinical setting.


  • Explain the meticulous process required to maximize instrument function.


  • List strategies to prevent instrument compromise.
