Power Equipment Functionality

Once the equipment is received by IMS, the functional parameters are tested and the equipment is subjected to a rigorous quality control inspection, which includes the following:

  1. Visual inspection to detect any damage such as dents, broken components, missing components, etc.

  2. Function Test
    • Testing the proper fitting of attachments, batteries, etc.

    • Testing functions such as the handpiece speed control, brake control, excessive noise, and heat generation Handpiece torque and speed testing fixture
Handpiece torque and speed testing fixture
  3. Performance Test
    • Motor is tested by means of a Dynamometer to test the equipment under load for torque, speed, andgeneration heat

    • Results are captured and compared to the manufacturer's functionality standard Dynamometer tests handpiece performance under load
Dynamometer tests handpiece performance under load

  4. Electronic Components Test
    • Electronic Oscilloscope
    • Electronic signal of the controller, motor phase, and motor sensors are tested by using an electronic oscilloscope

    • Motor windings are tested for continuity inductance and insulation integrity
