IMS Clinical Management Seminar

repair expenditures.
- Discuss solutions to basic business challenges faced by healthcare managers.

- Site visit to IMS engineering and repair facility in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
- Discussion of repair issues and proper care and handling of rigid endoscopes, flexible
endoscopes, power equipment, and phaco handpieces.
- Business seminar covering capital equipment acquisition, financing options, and
other programs to enhance management and administrative effectiveness.

Flexible Endoscopy Clinical Management Seminar
Learn more about flexible endoscopes, endoscope video towers, and tooling/machining
of medical components while earning 7 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The IMS Clinical Management Seminar is designed to address clinical, biomedical,
and administrative needs in the operating room, endoscopy center, or GI lab. Conducted
at IMS’ repair facility in Birmingham, AL, this one-day visit includes interactive
rotations through the large and small diameter flexible departments, as well as
the precision machining and manufacturing facility.
Course Objectives:
- Improve understanding of equipment management options
- Explore design considerations affecting the safety, operation, maintenance, repair,
and budgetary requirements for flexible endoscopes
- Improve understanding of the role of engineering, manufacturing, and final assembly
as related to flexible endoscope performance
